We're rebranding!

We're excited to announce that we're rebranding Cyberis as of 1 March 2022.  We've created a whole new brand identity, including a new logo, a refreshed colour palette and new brand pillars which represent who we are, and what we do for our customers.

This was a big decision, and it's been a complex journey for us as a team.  So where did we start, and how did we get where we are now?

As with many projects, it started with questions:

  • Who are we now?
  • Did our brand - which we've been using since the conception of Cyberis in 2011 - reflect who we are?
  • Did our brand let us communicate what we do?

We did a lot of stakeholder research - we captured the views of our leadership team, and conducted workshops with groups of our employees.  We were lucky enough to have the input of several of our customers as well.  Thank you to those people who helped input into this process - you know who you are, and we are incredibly grateful for your assistance.

We learned a lot about ourselves, about our shared sense of purpose and our shared ambitions.  Working with Good, we distilled this down to a vision, a purpose and a set of core values that we feel really represent who we are.

Once we'd done our research, we decided that, no, our branding didn't reflect us.  When we looked at our typeface, it felt cold and robotic.  Our logo felt complicated and dated.  Our colours seemed dull and unsupportive.  We needed a new approach, and we decided that everything needed a complete overhaul.

Side by side - our old brand and our new brand

An unexpected side effect of rebranding was that it gave us a whole new area to geek out about: typefaces!  At the beginning of the process, it's fair to say that it was a little bit out of our comfort zone to attribute emotional qualities to different fonts, but once we started assigning epithets, we couldn't stop.  In the end, we opted for two new fonts which we thought were clear, confident, approachable and contemporary.

We've always wanted to put the customer experience first, so it was really important for us to adopt a bright and friendly colour palette. We want people to know that we're welcoming and helpful.  In our new palette, dark grey represents security and the two blues represent clarity and reliability. Green is for ‘go’ and yellow is our innovative spark.

Now we're at the point of launching our new brand, and we're really excited to share it with you.  We have not changed, but our brand changing means that it now represents our values and our approach for all to see.  We hope you like it as much as we do!
